Introducing Flight to Wealth: A Smarter Way to Track Your Net Worth

Our First Video Commercial Is Here!

I’m excited to announce that Flight to Wealth: Net Worth, my net worth tracking app, is officially live on Google Play for Android.

I built Flight to Wealth for a simple reason: I wanted to truly understand my wealth without connecting my financial accounts to another service. Over the years writing about Roth IRA strategies, I’ve heard the same hesitation from many people — they want clarity about where they stand financially, but they’re uncomfortable handing their bank logins to an aggregator. So I created the tracker I wished existed: one where you enter your numbers by hand, and everything stays on your device.

To celebrate the launch, I put together our very first video commercial — a short spot that introduces the app in under thirty seconds. Here it is:

So what does the app do? At its core, Flight to Wealth answers two important questions that most net worth trackers overlook: where does my money sit for tax purposes, and how is my wealth allocated across different asset classes?

The Tax Location view sorts your portfolio into pretax, Roth, brokerage, and real estate buckets. The Asset Allocation view looks at the same money from the other direction — stocks, bonds, cash, and more. You can save snapshots as your numbers change, track debt right alongside your assets, and watch the full picture evolve month by month and year by year.

For fellow planners, there are two forward-looking tools I’m particularly proud of. Roth conversion modeling lets you test how annual conversions could reshape your balances over time. And RMD projections estimate your future required minimum distributions year by year, so you can think about the tax road ahead while there’s still time to plan around it. One note worth knowing: the age at which RMDs must begin depends on your birth year — it’s not the same for everyone.

Privacy isn’t a bolt-on feature here; it’s the foundation. There are no bank connections to grant, no accounts to create, and no servers quietly receiving your records. Your information is stored locally on your device during normal use, and a backup only happens when you choose to make one.

The app is free to start. The free version keeps up to three snapshots of your Tax Location and Asset Allocation history, and an optional Premium upgrade removes that cap so your full history is kept. It’s available now on Android, and the iOS version is currently in testing — coming soon.

You can explore every feature in detail on the full app landing page.

If you try the app, I’d genuinely love to hear from you — what clicks, what’s confusing, and what you’d like to see next. Drop a comment below; I read every one. Building alongside real feedback is how this app gets better.

Special Thanks to My Beta Testers

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who volunteered to test Flight to Wealth. From checking compatibility across different devices to testing features and sharing valuable suggestions, your contributions helped make this launch possible. I especially appreciate the time you took to support an independent developer. Thank you!

Thank you for being part of the launch.
